NEW DISCOVERY IN A MONOCHROMATIC PROCESS / RESTORATION OF AN ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED FILM

Two weeks ago I have discovered something which seems to be something. Last few months I'm doing some experiments with photography chemical processes and two weeks ago on Sunday I've discovered super interesting thing I guess. I'm not sure if someone else did the same thing in the past but I never heard or found one word about what I have found out.

In case you're working with monochromatic films but on the end / during the process by mistake you have exposed some of the films by light there is the way to restore a lost pictures. The film is not definitely damaged as we always would say. Obviously after developing process in a standard black and white chemistry the film is gonna get to be just a black strip. But what is gonna restore the photographs back, taken on monochrome material, is super simple thing.

Since that Sunday, a two weeks ago, It seems to me the numbers of exposures are in a layers (on a strip of negative film). Physically it doesn't make sense but in chemical process it could. Negative film could have a memory the way of timeline (in a level of chemical process).

I did start to do research to tune it to better results and describe how far the light damages can go to be able to "scrape" off the damages by light. But in case you've got this way damaged film or films please feel free to send me a message and most likely I'll be able to restore your film which also will help me to continue with this research.

This is a very first film I have restored. Just by accident.
